Market Hall Victoria welcomed over 1.25 million visitors in its first year of trading.
A food hall like no other! The site for Market Halls second venture is the old Pacha nightclub by Victoria Station, London. Many were sad to lose the nightclub, however, it made way for this bustling family friendly food hall. Well to be exact, eleven different boutique food outlets, three bars, and a coffee shop sitting over three floors ready for 400 diners. A vast roof terrace bar also overlooks Victoria station below.
As the renovation commenced the interior fabric of the building was peeled away to reveal numerous layers of the past. As you explore the building you will find snippets of the buildings history still in place, from the playful decoupage nightclub posters, to the traditional style parquet flooring and original stained glass windows all of which have been deliberately preserved.
The introduction of any new fittings and furnishings were chosen to be sympathetic to the original fabric of the building and rich textures such as leather and velvet were introduced to bring a sense of warmth to the space.
It was so very rewarding to be part this project and to bring to life Market Halls unique food hall concept; within a historically rich building now filled with great local gastronomy.
